Community event scheduled for Monday to celebrate Murray State-Missouri Valley conference partnership

Murray State University will be hosting a community event Monday (January 10) at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky., To celebrate runners’ membership of the Missouri Valley Conference.

The doors of the CFSB Center open at 11 a.m. Monday for a free event starting at noon. Fans must enter the CFSB Center through Gate B. The community event features commentary from MSU and MVC officials, videos of great racing moments and a chance to take selfies on stage. Limited commemorative posters will also be available.

Members of the media are encouraged to attend the community event and stay afterward for a press conference which will begin shortly after the first event. MSU and MVC officials will be available for questions and selected MSU head coaches. Both community event and the press conference will be broadcast live on ESPN +.

Officially licensed gear from the Murray State / MVC Team Store is now available online for purchase. The sale is open until January 24, after which the orders will be fulfilled and shipped. Many items are available in men’s, women’s and youth sizes. Visit

When runners join the MVC on July 1, 2022, they will partner with member institutions Belmont University (Nashville, Tenn.), Bradley University (Peoria, Ill.), Drake University (Des Moines, Iowa), University of Evansville ( Evansville, Ind.), Illinois State University (Normal, Ill.), Indiana State University (Terre Haute, Ind.), Missouri State University (Springfield, Mo.), University of Northern Iowa (Cedar Falls, Iowa), Southern University of Illinois (Carbondale, Illinois) and University of Valparaiso (Valparaiso, Ind).
